Lucas Roncati Guirado is a Brazilian psychologist and specialist in chemical dependency with extensive leadership in therapeutic communities and drug policy. He holds a Psychology degree from Universidade Paulista (2019) and a specialization in Chemical Dependency from Unyleya College (2021).
He serves as Executive Director of FEBRACT (Brazilian Federation of Therapeutic Communities) since 2020, overseeing 155 affiliated therapeutic communities, training programs, and international representation. He is also Vice-President of the Latin American Federation of Therapeutic Communities (FLACT, 2024–2026) and Vice-President of the State Council on Drug Policy of São Paulo (2023–2025), contributing to key public policies and technical guidelines.
Previously, he coordinated the State of São Paulo’s “Recomeço” Program, expanding access to therapeutic communities and developing quality assessment instruments in partnership with the UNDP. He has managed major international events such as the XXIX World Conference of the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities (2024) and represented Latin American organizations at high-level meetings of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) in Brazil and Panama.
In addition, Lucas provides clinical care in cognitive-behavioral therapy for substance use disorders and continues to contribute to national and international dialogues on evidence-based treatment and community-based recovery.
